If when sharing a webcam you get the message Media server has no available resources (error 2002), it means that the BigBlueButton server on which your meeting is running has currently reached its maximum capacity for webcam streams.
As a moderator, the solution is to try one of the following
- Wait a few minutes and try again -- as other meetings with webcams on the server end, it will free up resources for webcams
- Start a new meeting (create a new meeting link in your learning management system or Personal Rooms and share with users). Using a new meeting link will ensure the meeting starts on a different server.
- Enable the lock settings so students only see the instructor's webcam (this will significantly reduce the number of webcam streams in the session and should
(Update 2020-08-12) We are working on adding better management of the webcam streams to prevent any one meeting from using up too many resources on the server (such as having 25 people all sharing webcams). The improvements will enable moderators to see all webcams, but scale back the webcams visible to viewers so they see the last N webcams.
